The shirts are made for Hanes — the multinational clothing brand has contracts with both the University of North Carolina and Duke University, Nvizion management said.The last championship t-shirt they’ve printed for either programs was in 2017 when North Carolina won it all.And next week, that partnership could possibly continue.”It’s going to be crazy. Everybody is going to be running around like a madhouse. But it’s not our first time. We’re pretty prepared. We have a good game plan. It’s definitely high intensity,” said Patrick Fry, president of Nvizion Inc.Duke and North Carolina will face off in this Saturday’s Final Four matchup — marking the first time both of the historic programs will play each other in the NCAA tournament.That means the state of North Carolina will be represented in the NCAA Championship game on Monday.Fry said they currently have three designs for each program ready to go, and will work on the t-shirts right after the game. “Once the game is over, we’ll hit the floor, and fire the presses up, and go. And we’ll spit them out all night long,” he added.Shipments of the shirts would go out as soon as Tuesday at 2 a.m.If Duke wins, Nvizion is scheduled to create about 6,000 shirts. However, if North Carolina takes the title, they will create roughly 9,000 to 10,000 shirts.Fry said he hopes one of the teams wins it all. This will help many of his staff and other local business that took a hit during the pandemic, he said.”It’s really important that we’re able to keep people employed,” he said. “The sickness has been detrimental for a lot of companies, but we’ve been really fortunate, so it’s a big deal. It’s definitely going to help our business and surrounding business, selling the shirts.”
